Top 10 Cars to Be Launched Before 2022

Carmakers try to win the hearts of their customers by promising technological marvels. They may sound a bit far-fetched, and yet, at least some of them are bound to eventually become a part of our everyday life. What cars are awaiting us before the magical year of 2022?
2020 Aston Martin DBX
Although Aston Martin is one of the most known high-end brands, it sells only four thousand cars a year. This does not guarantee long-term survival, so the company is working on a crossover/SUV line as a way to escape financial problems in the future. The DBX, which is part of the plan, will supposedly be based on a reworked version of the component set that was first used in the DB11 coupe.
2019 BMW 3-Series
The new generation of the top-selling compact sports sedan has every chance of recapturing BMW’s supremacy in the sports-sedan segment. It will supposedly use longitudinal-engine platform nicknamed CLAR and produce close to 500 horsepower.
Mercedes-AMG Project One
The model may well turn out to be the first streetgoing engine based on turbulent jet ignition. The Project One is being designed as a high-end hypercar of the same level as Porsche 918 Spyder and cars bearing the Ferrari logo (LaFerrari, for instance). The carmaker is going to build only 300 units.
2018 BMW X2
The rebodied cousin of the BMW X1 promises to look sportier, yet sacrifice some of the practical features of its predecessor. It will use the BMW’s UKL platform and produce over 200 horsepower. Some of the X1’s rivals include Audi Q3, Infiniti QX30, and Mercedes-Benz GLA.
2019 Mercedes-AMG C63 R
In comparison with its predecessor, the C63 R will be more powerful while weighing less. It will be based on the C63 platform, but will feature lighter carbon-fiber front fenders and roof. This will be a great advantage as the current version is heavier than its rivals, so the 2019 R should definitely drop some weight.
2021 Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer
The body-on-frame SUVs with six-figure price tags will probably use the underpinnings of the next-generation Ram pickup.
2019 McLaren BP23
The mind-blowing three-seat model inspired by McLaren F1 was developed by the company’s Special Operations division. Although the car costs over $2 million over 100 units have been already sold.
2018 Mazda CX-5 Diesel
The fun-to-drive diesel will most likely be equipped with a meaningful steering feel. Like many models bearing the Mazda car logo, it promises impressive road manners.
2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante
The car will be based on the Lamborghini’ssuperlight philosophy. A version of the Huracán’s structure, it will use hollow rear wing perched on hollow struts.
2018 Infiniti QX50
The model that will replace the old QX50 crossover will go through a much-needed overhaul. Some of its benefits will be the 268-hp four-cylinder, which, according to the company, will offer a 27% bonus in comparison with a six with equivalent power
We should also mention two important tendencies that will certainly affect the carmarket in the nearest future: further innovations at the autonomous car segment and explosion of the electric vehicle segment.
Quite a few companies have already announced their plans to have a lot of self-driving cars on the roads by 2021. More and more companies start working in the field, from traditional automakers (Toyota, BMW, Volvo, Nissan) to Silicon Valley start-ups and giants like Google.
According to Bloomberg New Energy Finance forecasts, as soon as in 2021, electric vehicles will constitute almost 4% of all car sales in the US and 5% in Europe.
