Job Description:

We are seeking experienced and reliable freelance language translators with a strong understanding of legal terminology to assist with the translation of contracts, legal memoranda, court documents, regulatory filings, and other legal content. Translators must ensure accuracy, consistency, and sensitivity to confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Translate legal documents from English to one or more of the following languages (and vice versa): French, Spanish, German, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Arabic, Portuguese, Russian, and others.

- Maintain the legal tone, context, and intent of the original text.

- Work collaboratively with our legal professionals to ensure accuracy.

- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality translations.

- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Required Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a legal translator or in a similar role.

- Native or near-native proficiency in both source and target languages.

- Strong understanding of legal terminology and document formats.

- Excellent attention to detail.

- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple assignments.

- Professional certification in translation (e.g., ATA, CIOL) is a plus.

- Legal background or education in law is an advantage.
